Thomas Pall
SCULPTOR
Tom is a boilermaker and blacksmith by trade, and an artist by compulsion. Based in Goondiwindi, Queensland, he works primarily in steel — cutting, welding, and shaping the material of industry into forms that question the systems that surround it.
He is a father who fears the rapid rise of the machine. He is intrigued by the esoteric, bewildered by the world, and distrusts the system that taught us how to read and write.
Tom's work ranges from the monumental to the intimate — public commissions that command landscape, and smaller works that reward close attention. The structural integrity behind each piece is not incidental. It is the argument.
